Are you concerned about being alone this holiday season? I know Valentine’s Day is a particularly hard time for people that have ended relationships or have had a spouse or loved on pass away. So here are some tips that you can use to help you get through the holiday blahs.
The first thing and probably the most obvious that we forget, is that love is generated inside of us. So I would encourage you to take the time to be your own Valentine. That might look like finding some friends that have no other significant ones in their life, getting together and having a Valentine’s Day party. Or taking yourself out to dinner or a movie, or a walk on the beach, or going skiing – going away for a special weekend. Take the time to know that you are your own best friend. Use the time to be your own lover. What do you want from your lover? Dare to give that to yourself.
