Hi, Iím Kim Lyons, author of Your Body, Your Life, and probably most well known from the trainer on the Biggest Loser Ė seasons three and four, red team trainer.
Iím here today to talk to you about portion size. It is so important for you to know what a portion size is. Without calculating, without weighing, without measuring, here is a simple tip for you:
For your protein: it should be about the size of the palm of your hand.
For your carbs: about the size of your fist.
And for fat: about the size of your thumb, from the knuckle up.
Portion size is really important and America has lost all concept. So when you go out to eat, get that to-go box - have more than one meal because chances are: thereís four servings on every single plate.
