Hi this is David from davidwygant.com. Where to go on a first date – really simple: anywhere but a restaurant. Sitting there and chewing food and exchanging resumes is extremely boring for men and for women. They don’t want to be interviewed on a first date – think of something fun.
Maybe an offbeat coffee shop where there is maybe a poet there that night - maybe a walk through the park if it’s freezing cold and there’s a great hot chocolate stand that you guys can share a moment. Maybe taking your dog for a walk, maybe even going to Target- one of my favorite dates ever was going to Target. And as we were shopping, I looked at her and I said, “You know what? I’m feeling really generous tonight; you can have anything you like for a dollar, sixty nine. That’s right, a dollar, sixty nine.” We spent the next hour and a half trying to find the perfect thing for a dollar, sixty nine. She found things for a dollar, seventy one. She wanted to ad two cents in there, I said, “No, it’s got to be a dollar, sixty nine”.
First dates should be fund, they should be adventures, and they should be something that takes the pressure off that interview process. Having a great first date means that you’re assured a great second date.
