Practice your footwork by learning these 4 basic methods of getting a soccer ball off the ground.
Hello. My name is Scott Benbow, and Iím the director of soccer operations here at the indoor soccer center in Orlando, for the next minute Iím going to show you a few different ways to lift the ball from the ground using only my feet.
The first one, very simple, all Iím going to do, toes on top of the ball, and I roll it back and flick it up Ė nice and simple.
Get the ball between my ankles, roll it up the inside of my left leg, turn it around and clutching it on my right foot. So, here we go. Iím going to get comfortable, get balanced, get the ball and theÖand then there we go.
So this time, Iím going to attempt to roll the ball with my right foot on to my left foot and flick it up into the air. Here we go.
From off: Nice.
SB: Ok, this time, Iím going to put the ball between my ankles and attempt to roll the ball up the inside of my leg. Stamp down on the ball so it bounces back up and lands on my right foot, here we go. Get balance, and there it is.
