Why is it that there are so many PHd's that are not successful. Why don't creative people succeed? Is practical intelligence all it takes?
Successful intelligence - what it takes, by Robert Trajkovski.
If you look at all the intelligent research out there, it breaks down into three different areas:
What Iíve done in my life is apply the eighty-twenty rule. Twenty percent of my time is focused on the analytical. This is where I learn things, I constantly improve on.
The second part is the creative part, this is where I force myself to write with the left hand instead of with the right hand, try to develop creative-type of products.
And the last part is the practical, this is when you take your products and you actually put them out on the market.
So, what does it take to be successful? Itís a blend of all three. You have to work at the practical, creative, and the analytical. Ignoring any one of those, you will not make you a success. There are plenty of people who cure disease and they are not a success, thereís plenty of people who are super creative that are not success. So, work on all three at the same time and you will be successful.
