My name is Debbie Friedman, and I’m here today to give you some tips on gaining freedom from fear. Our world is so filled with fearful thoughts, and really a lot of fear surrounding us. And what we get into is a state of fear without even being aware or conscious of it. Now one of the things I make people aware of is that they literally become less intelligent when they are in a state of fear. Actually, your blood supply moves from your forebrain, where intelligent thinking takes place, to the rear brain, which feeds and supplies the “fight - flight” response in your body, so that your limbs are powered with your blood supply to either fight if you feel you’re strong enough, or flight, escape, if you don’t. And so with that, keep in mind that whenever you are in a fear-filled state, begin to deep breathe. Breathe deeply, because that activates the calming center in your body and allows your body to truly relax. And with that, you will be able to gain freedom from fear.
