My name is Debbie Friedman, and I’m here today to talk to you about the importance of your words. And more importantly, how as you change your words, you will change your life. Now there’s twelve words that I suggest people release and let go of, but I’m going to start and just give you a couple of them today. The most important word that I find that people can release and let go of is the word “can’t.” Your mind is literal. It does not have a sense of humor, it doesn’t know true from false, it does not know fact from fiction. All it knows is what you tell it. So if you tell it you can’t do something, you absolutely cannot. The second word I will suggest you realize and let go of is the word “want.” When you are wanting, you are placing your desires out in the waiting room of life. And we know from the 23rd psalm – it tells us, “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” Because the truth is, everything you desire is already provided for. It’s simply a matter of claiming it.
