Leaders are sometimes stymied to find what they can use to take performance to the next level. By identifying their unique strengths, leaders have what it takes.
Do you have a unique strength? The answer? Yes you do. How do you identify it? Let me suggest a couple of ways. Number one, when you are working in the area of strength, you find that you love what you do; you enjoy it. Because you enjoy it, number two, time seems compressed. When we’re doing what we love to do, when you’re working in your area of strength, you’ll find that five hours seems like five minutes. Have you ever worked on a project that took all day, and you wondered where the time went? That’s because you were using your strength. The final thing about identifying your strength is that you tend to learn very quickly. When we’re working in the area that we love, when we’re working in the area of our gift, we absorb information - we pull it into our work. As a leader, you don’t have to look so far. Look at what you enjoy doing, what time flies when you’re doing, and what you really learn quickly in, and there you may find your strength.
