My name is Brent, and I’m going to teach you how to do this dive.
First were going to start with how to set the fulcrum because this is a main thing. This is our fulcrum, the circle here, and we’re going to role it up really close to the end of the board. That’s a misconception that most people think that you want to roll it back as far as you can, but we’re not going to do that, we’re going to roll it up so that you can jump higher in the air. And the first thing were going to start with is the four step approach.
You’re going to start with your right leg and you’re going take four steps and stop on the end of the board.
After the fourth step, we are going to raise our right leg and we’re going to do a hurdle -this ensures that we get good height off of the board.
The next step is the actual one and a half. You’re going to do one summersault, look over the end of your toes into the water and put your head first into the water.
