Today I’m going to teach you how to keep your butt down and your back up. No, not that boys, a little bit about your posture today. This is Bonnie; Bonnie’s going to help me with this exercise. Bonnie’s posture’s a little off. So what we’re going to do is have her sit up straight. Placing her hands on her knees, she’s going to sit up tall through her spine and imagine a weight at the top of her head. That weight is throwing her chin back, so drop your chin a little, Bonnie, just straight. There you go, leaning forward.
And you’re going to breathe, inhaling through your nose, exhaling through the mouth. Feel the weight at the top of the head; that you’re pressing up into the rafters; into the ceiling today and your sit bone’s down into the chair. Watch how her posture is improving. Drop your head a little Bonnie, that’s it. Feel what that feels like. Now blink and allow a little light to come into your eyes from the room. And that is much better posture.
