You don't need to have a chromatic tuner to tune your guitar. Follow these steps and you'll be able to tune accurately by ear!
If youíre going to play guitar, the first thing you have to do is know how to tune it. Now, we use professional tuners in the studio and on the road, but if you donít have one, thereís a simple way to tune a guitar.
You take this note, which is an in tune E, and on the fifth fret, you put your finger on the top string and go down to the next string and if they sound exactly alike, thatís an A, itís in tune.
And you do the next string, which is D, and then G. Then you go down a fret, for your B, and then back up to your fifth fret - for your E. And by knowing just one note, you can tune your guitar to play in perfect pitch.
