There's a very simple formula for giving POWERFUL presentations. There are 4 things to it. Play the clip to find those out.
You know I’ve worked a lot with professional speakers. And what I’ve found is that there’s a very simple formula for doing powerful presentations. If you have a powerful presentation to give, you’ve got to give a presentation if front of any group, here are the four pieces: winning stories, questions, expriential exercises and famous quotes.
Tell them a story about a moment in your life that was incredibly rewarding and meaningful, and don’t talk about it, speak from it, get them into that experience.
The second is experiencial exercises, take people through an experiencial exercise, say, “Ok, this is going to be about trust. I want everybody to close your eyes and I want you to reach out and touch the person next to you”, and do it in a way where they can experience that kind of trust. Do some kind of an experiencial writing exercise.
The third thing to do for a powerful presentation is to ask a lot of questions.
And the fourth is to have famous quotes like, Gandhi once said, “Be the change you want to see in the world”.
That’s the way to give a powerful presentation.
