How would you like a tool for being able to set your rate? Your rate may be fifty dollars an hour or twenty dollars an hour. Well, here’s a powerful tool:
Ask yourself, “If I was an absolute professional getting charged a high fee for doing this, how much would I make?” If you would make a hundred dollars an hour or two hundred dollars an hour, then ask yourself, “What if I double it, could I charge that much?” Find a number that is comfortable for you but a little bit uncomfortable. So something you could own, but it’s a little bit of a stretch. How about fifty dollars an hour? Is fifty dollars it too much or too little? Is a hundred dollars an hour too much or too little?
Whatever number you come up with, make it the one, and practice. Pretend seeing yourself asking for those different rates. And it will be very easy for you to figure out what is the rate that you should charge for your service or product that you deliver.
